Our country's economic crisis has occasioned a sea of change in the way individuals, foundations, corporations and the government respond to society's needs. That change will prove to be especially profound in philanthropy. Profound because it will be durable, lasting beyond the current crisis, and because the values of the for-profit sector will define much charitable decision making in the future.
